AMK2 Designs was created from a lifelong mix of creativity, problem-solving, and a love for homes that truly work for the people living in them.
I’m Angela, the designer behind AMK2. My background spans more than 20 years in graphic and web design, but I’ve always been equally drawn to architectural and interior design. What ties all of my work together is a focus on clarity, functionality, and thoughtful details.
Good design should look beautiful, but more importantly, it should make everyday life easier.
Where My Design Perspective Comes From
I grew up around construction and carpentry. My dad was a contractor and woodworker, so building, fixing, and figuring things out were simply part of everyday life. Watching projects take shape from the ground up gave me an appreciation for how homes are built and how thoughtful planning can make all the difference.
That influence still shapes how I approach design today. I think about structure, flow, storage, and how people actually move through a space—not just how a room looks in a photo.
Designing My Own Home
One of the most meaningful design projects I’ve taken on was creating the plans for my own home.
Combining my design background with the construction knowledge I grew up around, I developed a layout focused on livability, efficiency, and comfort. That experience deepened my passion for residential design and reinforced something I’ve always believed:

The Meaning Behind AMK2
AMK2 represents two important parts of my life: creativity and family.
The name reflects both my own design journey and the influence of my daughter, Ava, who has grown up surrounded by projects, creativity, and the belief that ideas can always turn into something real.

Today, AMK2 Designs focuses primarily on residential design and space planning, helping homeowners create layouts that feel intentional, balanced, and truly livable.
